On the afternoon of May 31, Thu Duc City authorities coordinated to investigate the cause of the crane crashing into a construction site and crashing into two vehicles traveling on My Thuy Bridge.
Initial information, at around 1:00 p.m. the same day, when the traffic was moving across My Thuy overpass from District 7 to Thu Duc City, a crane belonging to the construction site next to it suddenly had an accident and fell across the bridge. The crane hit the cabin of a container trailer and a car in circulation.
The incident did not cause any casualties but caused damage to both vehicles, causing prolonged traffic congestion in the area.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Cat Lai Traffic Police Team (under the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department of Road and Railway Traffic Police) and local authorities were present at the scene to direct traffic, clear traffic and coordinate to overcome the consequences.
The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified.
