On the morning of October 23, authorities are blocking off the landslide area to search for an elderly person suspected of missing near a stream across an iron bridge in Bau Bang commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
The leader of Bau Bang Commune People's Committee confirmed the incident and said that the authorities are currently searching for the old lady born in 1946 suspected of being swept away by water and missing.
According to the leader of Bau Bang Commune People's Committee, the house where the landslide occurred had 2 people living there. The son came home from working the night shift and saw the house partially eroded and could not find his mother. Suspecting that the old lady was swept away by the water and gone missing, her child reported it to the authorities.

Currently, the authorities are verifying and clarifying the incident: First, the old lady was in the house that night the house collapsed. In the second direction, the old lady was in the house and was swept away by the water and went missing. Currently, the People's Committee of the ward is organizing rescue forces to search for the old lady in the area around the landslide house.
At the scene, the authorities have blocked off the landslide area and are searching for the missing victim along the stream.
