In the afternoon of January 9, a delegation from the Ministry of Construction led by Minister Tran Hong Minh inspected the construction of the Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc expressway section under the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway project.
Reporting to the working delegation, the Director of Project Management Unit 166 said that the project has two construction packages, the value of implementation to date has reached 0.41% compared to the contract value.
In Package XL01, 226 engineers and workers have been mobilized, gathering 75 motorbikes of all kinds. Currently, the contractor is constructing camps, auxiliary yards, cement concrete plants, girder casting tanks, deploying organic mining and paving of service roads at priority locations, the access level is about 11.5km.
At Package XL02, 30 workers and engineers were mobilized and 20 motorbikes of all kinds were gathered. At the same time, the headquarters of the Management Board on DT986 road was completed, and the construction of service roads and service roads was completed.
At the inspection, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh requested the contractor to maximize manpower and machinery, have specific construction plans, scientific and safe construction organization methods to ensure project completion progress, and promptly report specific difficulties and obstacles to remove and resolve.
The Minister requested the contractor to carefully calculate that all construction plans must be methodical, ensuring labor safety, environmental sanitation, traffic safety, and making the highest efforts to deploy construction according to the set goals and plans.
Minister Tran Hong Minh also noted that in handling weak soil foundations, it is necessary to closely supervise, pay attention to quality management of works, and not ignore quality because of progress.
Mr. Lam Van Bi, Standing Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, said that the local government is committed to closely coordinating and creating the most favorable conditions for contractors to accelerate the project completion progress according to the plan.
On this occasion, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh presented gifts to encourage engineers and workers working on the construction site. The Minister wished that the team of engineers and workers would strive to overcome all difficulties and join forces for the development of the country.
Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc expressway has a total length of more than 25km; the starting point at Km0 coincides with the ending point of the Hau Giang - Ca Mau expressway project at the IC12 intersection (Southern Coastal Corridor Road, belonging to Ho Thi Ky commune, Ca Mau province); the ending point at Km 42+168 (belonging to Phu My commune, Ca Mau province).
