At nearly 10:00 p.m. on October 24, the authorities of Thong Tay Hoi ward, Ho Chi Minh City continued to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07), Ho Chi Minh City Police, to block off the scene and investigate the cause of the fire that occurred at a store in the area, causing many properties to be burned down.

Previously, at around 8:45 p.m., people discovered smoke and fire flaring up fiercely at a house that was used as a store for selling electrical and water appliances on Thong Nhat Street, Thong Tay Hoi Ward. The fire quickly spread, accompanied by a column of black smoke tens of meters high.
Passersby and people around shouted and used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire on the spot but failed. Because the inside contained many flammable materials such as plastic, paper, etc., the fire broke out more strongly, engulfing the entire store.

Upon receiving the news, local authorities and the Fire Fighting Team under PC07 Department urgently dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. After more than 30 minutes, the fire was completely controlled, causing no human casualties but causing many properties inside to be charred and severely damaged.
The cause of the fire is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
