The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has just signed a Decision on the establishment of the City Traffic Safety Committee.
Accordingly, Mr. Tran Van Lau, Chairman of the City People's Committee, is the Head of the Committee. The Deputy Heads of the Committee include Mr. Mai Van Tan, Director of the Department of Construction, Standing Member of the Traffic Safety Committee and Colonel Le Duc Bay, Deputy Director of the City Police.
The Traffic Safety Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization, with the function of assisting the Chairman of the City People's Committee in directing the coordination of implementing solutions to ensure traffic order and safety, and overcome congestion. The Board is allowed to use its own seal and open an account at the State Treasury according to regulations.
The tasks of the Committee include: proposing plans and coordination measures between departments, branches, organizations and local authorities in ensuring traffic order and safety. Direct and guide the People's Committees at the commune level to perfect the grassroots Traffic Safety Committee; implement the direction of the Central and the city. Propagating and disseminating traffic laws. Urgently report on particularly serious traffic accidents; take the lead in overcoming the consequences, identifying the causes and proposing preventive measures; implement a periodic or ad hoc reporting regime on traffic situations, accidents and congestion. Regulate the responsibilities of members and supporting agencies.
The Department of Construction is the standing agency, ensuring the operating conditions of the Board. The board holds regular meetings once a quarter or suddenly when necessary. Members working on a part-time basis are entitled to allowances according to regulations.
Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee becomes Head of the Management Board of the City gratitude Fund
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has just signed a decision to establish a Management Board of the City gratitude Fund.
According to the decision, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, will be the Head of the Committee. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Acting Director of the Department of Home Affairs, holds the position of Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee; invited Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hang, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, to be Deputy Head of the Committee.
The Fund Management Board is responsible for implementing the contents according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 179 of Decree 131/2021/ND-CP of the Government on measures to implement the Ordinance on Preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions, along with related documents. The Board has its own account and seal; conducts collection, expenditure and accounting according to current regulations.
The Fund Management Board is responsible for establishing a working department as the gratitude Fund Office, located at the Department of Home Affairs and decided to be established by the Head of the City gratitude Fund Management Board, consisting of a number of equivalent officials and civil servants of the Department of Home Affairs.
