On October 31, Lam Dong Provincial Police said that they have been directing the police of units and localities to mobilize maximum forces and means to urgently help and support families in affected areas.
Hundreds of families isolated by floodwaters have been evacuated to safety.

In recent days, Lam Dong Provincial Police have directed grassroots forces to be on duty 100% of the time, 24/24 hours, proactively deploying to respond to the complicated developments of floods, ensuring the safety of people's lives.
Accordingly, the police force coordinated with forces to visit each family in the flooded area to check, support people, and provide necessary necessities.
Along with that, the police of communes and wards have coordinated with forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level to increase patrols and deter subjects who take advantage of the flood situation to steal and appropriate property.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, said: Along with regulating, dividing traffic flows, and guiding people to travel safely in flooded areas, the Traffic Police force has made efforts to support and move people and property to safe places.

In particular, on the evening of October 30, due to the rapid rise of the Ca Ty River, hundreds of families in Phan Thiet, Tien Thanh, Binh Thuan wards... were flooded more than 1 meter deep.
That same night, the police force issued a heavy rain, went to each household, supported the movement of the elderly, women and children to safe places, and helped people transport their assets, livestock and necessities to higher ground.

At about 11:45 p.m. the same day, the relocation of people in the wards along the Ca Ty River was basically completed. Families in the deeply flooded and dangerous areas are safe.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep, on the morning of October 31, many low-lying areas in the riverside communes of the old Binh Thuan province (now Lam Dong province) were still flooded very deeply.

The Traffic Police force is coordinating with military, militia and local authorities to continue to be on duty 24/7, monitoring the river water level to proactively respond, ensuring absolute safety for people's lives and property.
