Students in Hue continue to be off school due to floods

HUE - Students in Hue City continue to have a day off from school and implement safety measures against floods.

On October 27, the Department of Education and Training of Hue City announced that students in the whole city will continue to be off school until further notice, to ensure safety against complicated developments of floods.

The Department requires schools to maintain 24/7 on-duty, implement the "four on-site" motto, and move assets, equipment, and records to safe places. Schools open to serve people to avoid floods when needed.

Online teaching is only done at schools and qualified students. Otherwise, the teaching will be compensated to the reserve time fund and on weekends after conditions allow. Schools encourage connecting with parents to assign assign exercises, review and update on flood situations.

The Department also requested to closely monitor the weather situation and instructions from authorities at all levels to proactively deploy cleaning, preparing schools to be ready to welcome students back to normal schooling.
