On October 1, Yen Tri Commune Police informed that the unit had just coordinated with the commune military force and Brigade 299 to promptly take a 14-month-old boy with high fever to a medical facility safely, while the floodwaters rose, causing many households in Thanh Binh hamlet to be isolated.
At noon on September 30, the family of Ms. Bui Thi Chuc (born in 1994) reported an emergency when her son, Bui Viet Sung, 14 months old, was continuously high on fever, cold hands and feet, stopped eating and taking medicine but did not reduce the fever.
While the floodwaters rose, causing the roads to be cut off, the family could not take the child to the medical facility by themselves.
Upon receiving the information, the commune police force quickly mobilized vehicles, overcame the strong flood to approach and bring the child out. After that, officers and soldiers took the baby to Yen Thuy Medical Center for timely emergency care. The child's health is now stable and continues to be monitored.
Previously, during the process of being on duty to prevent storm No. 10, Yen Tri Commune Police also overcame the wind and rain, bringing a 15-year-old girl who got lost back to safety to reunite with her family.
