On May 6, the working group of the Government Inspectorate worked with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province on inspecting compliance with policies and laws for the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway construction investment project phase 1, including component projects 1, 2 and 3.
On the same afternoon, working groups of the Government Inspection Working Group worked with leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on the inspection content for this expressway project.
The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway project has a total length of 117.5 km, with a total investment of VND 21,935 billion.
The project is divided into 3 component projects, in which Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee is the managing agency of Component Project 1 (31.5km long), the Ministry of Transport is the managing agency of Component Project 2 (37.9km long), Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee is the managing agency of Component Project 3 (48.1km long).
Component project 1 starts at the intersection between National Highway 26B and National Highway 1, in the Nam Van Phong port area (Ninh Hoa); the end point is at Km32 +000 in Ninh Tay commune (Ninh Hoa). The investment scale of the 4-lane route is 4, designed speed of 100km/h.
Component 1 is related to Thuan An Group
Construction package No. 2 - component project 1, on the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, was assigned to a consortium of 4 contractors including: Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company (Thuan An Group) - Phuong Nam Construction and Mechanical Joint Stock Company - North-South Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company - 168 Vietnam Construction Group Joint Stock Company, with a total value of more than 2,000 billion VND.
Of which, the package of Thuan An Group with a contract value of more than 395.5 billion VND has not yet been constructed due to land clearance problems. After the leader of this group was prosecuted and detained, this enterprise issued a document requesting to withdraw from participating in the project on the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway.
After Thuan An Group withdrew from participating in the project on the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, Khanh Hoa province issued a dossier inviting a new contractor to construct the work of this unit.
