On July 9, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) said that the unit had mobilized a crane to place a concrete strip along the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway from km200 + 550.

This is an area that used to operate a temporary rest stop, but has stopped operating since January 24, 2025 when the new rest stop at km205 was put into use.

However, in the past, many cars have stopped and entered this area without permission. Some spontaneous shops continue to operate. This poses a potential risk to traffic safety because vehicles suddenly change direction to enter and exit on the highway.
To end this situation, the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 mobilized cranes to place concrete median strips in rows longer than 200m.

According to the records at the scene, the location was about 1m from the edge of the road, blocking all entrances and exits to the above area. After the path was blocked, some spontaneous shops also left.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway, 100km long, passes through the entire old Binh Thuan province, and is planned to have two rest stops at Km205 + 092 and Km144 + 560. The area of each station is 10 hectares on the left and right sides of the route.

Currently, at km205 + 902, there are rest stops on both sides of the route, combined with the operation of temporary rest stops. The rest stop at km145 + 560 is urgently completing site clearance procedures.
