On June 17, Mr. Pham Quoc Huy - Executive Director of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project - said that regarding the problem of the road markings at the National Highway 28 intersection, at noon of the same day, a unit is painting and adjusting the road markings accordingly.

Recorded at the scene as the National Highway 28 intersection at Km208+70 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, South - North direction, a unit has placed a warning sign at the repair construction site. Many human resources and machinery are mobilized to carry out the work. It is expected that the roadline adjustment will be completed today (June 17).

According to the adjustment plan of the functional units, the length of line 3.2 (line of straight, white, line width 45 cm on the expressway) at this location will be reduced from 72 m to 35 m. At the same time, the scope of line 3.3 (line of broken, white) will be extended by 40 m to create favorable conditions for vehicles when separating lanes to branch roads.

As reported by Lao Dong, on social networking sites, many drivers reported that the roadline at the exit of the National Highway 28 intersection when traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway in the South - North direction has a short cross-line length, while the consecutive straight line is too long. This caused drivers to change lanes in the broken lane to turn right onto the exit and ran up the straight line to change lanes, which was punished by the traffic police.
Receiving the feedback, Road Management Office IV.1 and representatives of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6, Department 6, Traffic Police Department; Department of Construction of Binh Thuan province; Project Management Board 7 and the management and maintenance unit of this expressway established a team to inspect the scene and agreed to adjust the road markings at this location.
