The Department of Transport of Da Nang City said that currently, the People's Committee of Da Nang City is studying to adjust the planning of Lien Chieu port area.
This adjustment aims to develop it into a class I seaport, an international transit port, according to the National Assembly's resolution on the establishment of a Free Trade Zone associated with Lien Chieu port.
Therefore, the People's Committee of Da Nang City found that a number of training facilities managed by Central Ministries and agencies are within the planning scope of the port area.
Including Central College of Transport V and Da Nang Railway College Branch.
The arrangement of these facilities in the port area is no longer consistent with the development orientation.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport has agreed to the policy of relocating the Central College of Transport V to the Danang University subdivision.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City has requested the Committee for State Capital Management at Enterprises and Vietnam Railway Corporation to support the policy of relocating the Da Nang Railway College Branch to create conditions for the development of the logistics area after the port, the Free Trade Zone, and resettlement land fund at Lien Chieu Port.
Once consensus is reached, procedures related to planning, compensation and resettlement will be implemented.
