At 1:47 p.m. on November 20, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report that two children were trapped in a deep hole in Tram Mountain, in Long Chau Mieu Village, Chuong My Ward, Hanoi City.
Upon receiving the news, the Command Information Center mobilized forces and vehicles from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area No. 28 - Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to quickly arrived at the scene to organize rescue.
As soon as he arrived at the scene, assessing the complex terrain of the rocky mountains and caves and the difficulty in accessing the deep holes, the force commander promptly directed officers and soldiers to deploy reconnaissance and approach the area where the incident occurred to accurately determine the location of the victims.
The rescue force also organized initial first aid and used specialized equipment to deploy a rescue formation, bringing the victims to safety.
Although the rescue work took place in harsh terrain conditions, with the spirit of responsibility and efforts of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force, technical measures were deployed urgently and synchronously. After a period of efforts to carry out the task, the authorities were able to get the two victims out of the deep hole and move them to a safe location.
According to initial information, while picnicking with their family in the Tram mountain area, the 4-year-old boy and the 14-year-old girl slipped and fell into a deep hole and were stuck, unable to escape on their own.
The health of the two children is now stable.
