Son La - As of 5:00 p.m. on July 28, the authorities have found 3 out of 4 missing victims due to flash floods in Chieng So and Muong Lam communes.

Previously, heavy rain occurred on the night of July 26 and the morning of July 27, causing flash floods and serious landslides in some communes in Son La province, killing 2 people and leaving 4 people missing.

Of the 4 missing people, 3 are from Chieng So commune and 1 is from Muong Lam commune.

According to Ms. Lo Lan Phuong - Chairman of Chieng So Commune People's Committee, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, the authorities found the body of Mr. Lo Van Noi, Na Can 2 hamlet. The location where the victim was found on the banks of the Ma River, in Can Toi village, about 4km from Na Can 2 village.

"Today, the water level of the Ma River has receded, people fishing discovered Mr. Noi's body. The authorities have handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements according to local customs" - Ms. Phuong informed.

Previously, another victim was found, Mr. Ca Van Mai, Na Can 2 village. Currently, functional forces and people of Chieng So commune are still actively searching for the victim Lo Van Thinh, in Huoi Sai village.

For the victim of Vang Chu Pan, Huoi Lech village, Muong Lam commune. At 5:00 p.m. on July 28, Mr. Lo Van Xoa - Chairman of Muong Lam Commune People's Committee confirmed that he had found the buried victim in his family's hut.

Thus, by 5:00 p.m. on July 28, there was still 1 missing victim in Son La province, and the authorities are continuing to search.
