On September 22, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper confirmed that the authorities of Dak Lak province had issued a decision to enforce 4 households in the area of land clearance for the Ho Chi Minh Road project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot.
Mr. Dang Tho Dan - Head of the Traffic Project Management Department (under the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction and Rural Development Project Management Board) - said that up to now, the investor has disbursed 86% of the total investment capital of the project.
After enforcing the remaining households in the site clearance area, the construction contractor will complete the construction items.
In the face of the province's public investment disbursement being at a very low level (only reaching 35.9%), on September 17, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - directly inspected and urged the progress of key projects.
In particular, he especially noted that investors and contractors must urgently complete the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot, in October 2025.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Dang Tho Dan commented: "Following the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the investor and contractors will urgently complete the project according to the set schedule".
As Lao Dong has reported, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak province) has a total investment of more than VND1,800 billion from the central budget, with a length of more than 39km.
The project is invested by the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board.
After many years of delay, the project still has 113m (equivalent to 0.35ha) of the section passing through Cuor Dang commune that has not completed site clearance.
