On June 2nd, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a regular press conference to provide information on many issues of public concern.
Regarding the arrangement and operation of the 2-level local government model, Mr. Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said that the province is reviewing nearly 40 redundant deputy directors of departments and branches after the process of arranging the organizational structure.
According to Mr. Thai, in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee will consider transferring and arranging these officials to localities or arranging them for suitable job positions to promote their capacity and work experience.
At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Da, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, also informed about the reasons for the slow organization of professional title promotion consideration for teachers in the area.
According to Mr. Da, the delay stems from institutional obstacles and major changes in state management and regulations related to the authority to consider professional title promotion.

Regarding this issue, Mr. Truong Cong Thai requested the education sector and localities to urgently review and implement contents under their authority to ensure the legitimate rights of teachers.
Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the education sector cannot use the reason that other localities have not implemented to continue delays. For legal contents that have been permitted but not implemented, it is necessary to consider the responsibility of relevant organizations and individuals, and even discipline if there are violations.
If you are assigned a task but do not complete it, you must take responsibility, you cannot blame circumstances or objective reasons. If the workload is too large and you cannot handle it, you can resign from the task," Mr. Thai said.
Mr. Truong Cong Thai informed that the Central Government has applied the Work Efficiency Index (KPI) to measure the performance capacity of officials and civil servants. Therefore, each official needs to improve their sense of responsibility and proactively solve assigned tasks.
If cadres cannot perform their duties, they resign from their positions; and when they have received their duties, they must strive to contribute, and cannot work half-heartedly or shirk responsibility.
As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, many teachers in Buon Ma Thuot reflect on the situation of slow consideration for professional title promotion, directly affecting income and work psychology.
According to statistics, by the end of 2025, Dak Lak province had only 42 teachers promoted from rank IV to rank III and 218 teachers promoted from rank III to rank II. The promotion from rank II to rank I alone has not recorded any cases.
Notably, high school and vocational education - continuing education teachers in the province have not yet had any cases considered for promotion.
Currently, the entire education sector of Dak Lak province has more than 38,000 managers, teachers and lecturers.
