Dak Nong disburses national target capital of VND 2,280 billion

PHAN TUẤN |

Lam Dong - By the end of February 2025, the whole province will disburse nearly VND 2,280 billion (71% of the plan), with more than VND 1,520 billion remaining in the national target program capital.

According to the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, in the period of 2022 - 2025, the capital to serve the development of 3 National Target Programs in Dak Nong is more than 3,800 billion VND.

By the end of February 2025, the province had disbursed nearly VND 2,280 billion, reaching over 50% of the plan. Of which, the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas ( Program 1719) is 670 billion VND, reaching 79.1%.

The National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction is 416 billion VND, reaching 78.2%. The National Target Program on New Rural Development disbursed nearly VND658 billion, reaching 80.6%.

According to the assessment of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, the implementation of national target programs has changed but has not met the plan due to many reasons.

Party committees and authorities in some places have not been resolute in directing and proactively handling problems. Coordination between levels and sectors is still inadequate, inspection and supervision are not regular.

Some project management agencies have not fully promoted their roles, causing limited reporting, guidance and supervision information. In addition, the overlapping content and support subjects between levels cause difficulties in allocating funding and implementation.

The staff in charge of implementing the national target program at the grassroots level are mainly part-time. Meanwhile, the workload is large, the documents regulating implementation are many, so it is difficult and confusing to implement...

According to statistics, Dak Nong currently has more than VND 1,520 billion in capital for national target programs for the period 2022 - 2025.

At the recent Conference on implementing the tasks of the Steering Committee for the implementation of national target programs, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized: "On the investor side, investors are actively inviting contractors, especially contractors of key projects, to work and have commitments with the locality".

Contractors are still stuck in legal problems, investors must strictly manage their money sources to avoid being lenient in handling work.

During the project implementation, investors must promptly make recommendations on what can be done or not done. The Provincial People's Committee promised to resolve all issues completely, avoiding the situation of waiting for a meeting to discuss any issues, leading to delays and time waste.

If the province does not disburse all in 2025, it is mandatory to return it. Let's focus on how to do it. Investors are sure how many projects they have and how much money in hand.

"Where it is difficult, it cannot be done, it needs to be clearly identified from now to calculate capital transfer and capital return," Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed.
