On January 4, the MAG Bomb Advisory Group in Vietnam said that it had just moved a bomb weighing more than 220kg to a safe storage area to await centralized destruction.
A bomb weighing more than 220kg was discovered in Hien Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district (Quang Binh province).
The bomb was discovered by a local resident while digging the ground to prepare for planting acacia and eucalyptus, about 1 meter deep underground.

Immediately after receiving the request from the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command, MAG coordinated with local authorities to dispatch the Mobile Disposal Team and bomb disposal experts to the scene.
After establishing safety measures, MAG experts conducted a survey and carefully assessed the bomb's condition. The bomb was then determined to be suitable for transport and was taken by MAG to a safe storage area, awaiting centralized destruction according to regulations.
