Currently, African swine fever (hereinafter referred to as swine fever) in Ninh Binh is complicated, the epidemic has broken out in 86 communes and wards. Of which, 35 communes and wards have announced that the epidemic is over and 51 communes and wards are having an epidemic and are likely to have new outbreaks.
The swine fever epidemic has spread widely and is at risk of affecting food supply at the end of the year and causing environmental pollution, especially in the context of the strained swine fever virus, high toxicity, and strong spread, the current swine fever vaccine is not suitable.

Mr. Dinh Van Tien - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ninh Binh province said that as of December 10, the total number of pigs that had to be destroyed by the epidemic was 48,000 (about 4% of the total flock), the weight of which was nearly 3,000 tons.
To control and completely control swine fever, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province has directed departments, branches, and chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on seriously and drastically implementing disease prevention and control measures.
Mobilize the entire local political system to participate, uphold the role and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, and heads in leading, directing, preventing, controlling, and controlling epidemics;
Strictly implement the outbreak handling process to cut off the source of infection, in which it is necessary to review to completely destroy the infected pigs. At the same time, continuous disinfection and disinfection will be carried out to kill pathogens and strictly control slaughter and transportation activities in the epidemic area.
Timely rectify and immediately overcome shortcomings and inadequacies in livestock management, disease prevention and control; strictly handle violations of regulations on livestock and veterinary medicine.
Implement information and propaganda on the epidemic situation, the dangerous nature of the epidemic, the risk of disease spreading and recurring, biosafety livestock measures, epidemic prevention and control measures. Proactively allocate funds for epidemic prevention and control, funds to support the overcoming of animal diseases. Localities proactively develop and organize the implementation of plans and roadmaps for restructuring and developing livestock farming, disease safety, and sustainability.

"The Department has strengthened inspection, guidance, and support for localities in implementing disease prevention and control measures, biosafety livestock farming, and pig herding steps, especially for localities with complicated, prolonged, and recurrent epidemics. At the same time, advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct promptly and effectively, in accordance with the direction of the Central Government and the actual epidemic situation in the province" - Mr. Tien said.
According to Mr. Tien, if any commune or ward is subjective, negligent, or lacks responsibility in directing and operating the disease to arise on a large scale, causing great damage in the management area, or allowing negativity to occur in supporting the recovery of animal diseases, the Secretary and Chairman of that commune or ward must be responsible to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and before the law.
