Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision approving the investment policy for the project to renovate and upgrade the traffic route from Ta Mieu to the foot of A Pa Chai Flag Tower, Sin Thau Commune.
The project has a total length of about 8km, divided into 2 segments. Accordingly, section 1 is about 3.68km long, with an starting point intersecting with National Highway 4H2 and an end point connecting to the border patrol road at Km5+900. This section will be newly invested in construction according to the scale of a grade VI - mountainous road, with a cement concrete road surface structure.
Section 2 is about 4.3km long, from the end of Section 1 to the foot of A Pa Chai Flag Tower. This section will be reinforced with sidewalks and road surfaces on the basis of existing concrete roads.
The project belongs to group C with a total investment of 40 billion VND, using balanced capital from the local budget. Investment preparation work will be conducted in 2025. The project implementation period is expected to not exceed 3 years, from the date of capital allocation.
The goal of the project is to gradually complete the transport infrastructure system in the border area, effectively serving the patrol, control, and management of border and border markers. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Project Management and Land Fund Development Board of Region 5 as the agency organizing the preparation of the project investment feasibility study report; responsible for coordinating with relevant agencies and units to organize the implementation of the next work of the project to ensure compliance with the provisions of law.
