Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang has just signed a decision approving the investment in the construction of the project "Renovation of the tree system at relic sites". The total investment for construction is 8 billion VND, using the central budget support and local budget capital managed by the provincial level.
Accordingly, the construction site is in Muong Thanh ward and Him Lam ward (Dien Bien Phu city). The project is invested by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province.
This is a group C project; a technical infrastructure project, level IV; the minimum life of the main project is over 20 years. Project implementation progress from 2024-2026.
The scale of investment in construction includes: compensation for the clearance of crops and crops of people in the area of the relic protection area on hills C1, C2 and part of hill F; re-planning the areas for planting trees on the relic, planting additional trees in vacant areas and replacing some types of trees in hills C1, C2, F, Him Lam; building a water irrigation system for tree care on hills C1, C2, F, Him Lam.
The renovation of the tree system at the relic sites aims to create landscapes and meet the sightseeing needs of people and tourists. Create conditions to exploit and promote the potential and strengths of tourism, especially historical tourism, gradually making tourism a spearhead economic sector of the province.
