The project to expand the Tien Hoi - Hoang Nong route with a total length of 8.7 km is invested by the Dai Tu District Investment and Construction Management Board with a total cost of more than 78 billion VND. The project will be implemented in October 2023.
This is a grade VI mountainous road, after investment in expansion and upgrading to a grade IV mountainous road, with a roadbed width of 7.5 m, a road surface width of 5.5 m, and a design speed of 40 km/h. It is expected to be completed in 2024.
On October 8, according to the reporter, after 1 year of construction, the Tien Hoi - Hoang Nong road project is now in the final stage. At the construction site, workers and machinery are mobilized to complete the drainage system, spread crushed stone, and compact the road surface.
According to a worker at the project, the upgrading and renovation based on the old roadbed should be quite favorable. However, since the beginning of 2024, there has been too much rain, and construction has been interrupted frequently.
People living and doing business along the road are the ones who benefit the most as trade and travel are also more convenient. Most households whose land was acquired and affected by the project agreed, many households proactively donated land to build the road.
Ms. Hoang Thi Lien, Hoang Nong Commune (Dai Tu) said: "Before being repaired, the road was small, bad and full of potholes, only about 10 km long but it was very difficult to travel. We are very happy that the road has been upgraded, 2 households next to my house volunteered to demolish the gate to widen the road."
Talking to reporters, Mr. Tran Duc Quy - Chairman of Tien Hoi Commune People's Committee said that the Tien Hoi - Hoang Nong road project is in the process of completion. This is considered a traffic project of important significance to the socio-economic development of the locality.
"During the implementation process, there were some difficulties in mobilizing people to donate land for road construction. After propaganda and explanation, people understood and agreed.
Previously, the road was narrow and it was very difficult to travel. Now that the road has been widened, it will help vehicles move more easily and conveniently," the commune leader informed.
