Accordingly, the plan sets a specific target of achieving a minimum structure of 60% of social assistance facilities, medical facilities, educational institutions and other facilities providing social work services by 2030; the rate of people in difficult circumstances who are consulted, supported for social work and shift management will increase by at least 30% compared to 2025.
Dong Thap also ensures that at least 90% of homeless orphans, abandoned children, children infected with HIV/AIDS, children victims of chemical poisoning, children with severe disabilities and children affected by natural disasters and epidemics receive social assistance and are provided with appropriate social work services from socialized resources...

To achieve the above goal, Dong Thap province sets a series of key tasks, focusing on developing a network of social service providers.
In the province, a plan will be developed to investigate and review facilities providing social work services to implement the planning for the development of a network of facilities providing social work services in the fields of health, education and training, and public security; support investment in upgrading and renovating facilities, technical and equipment for the Social Protection Center and new construction investment.
The People's Committee of Dong Thap province will also propose that the Central Government support in-depth training in social work skills in care, rehabilitation, and assistance for specific subjects, with a minimum of 10 targets/year; train 10 medical staff working at facilities providing social work services.
