On May 9, according to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, the Eastern Ring Road project of Ha Tinh city (old) is facing site clearance issues near Thach Dong bridge (old Dong Mon ward, now Tran Phu ward).
Here, the residential area with many people's houses is blocking the unfinished construction road, while the project has asphalted many kilometers in places where site handover has been completed.
The eastern ring road project of Ha Tinh city (old) has a total investment of 950 billion VND, using central budget capital in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and mobilizing other legal capital sources.
The road has a total length of more than 15.7km, starting point intersecting with provincial road 9 at Ho Do bridge (Tran Phu ward); ending point intersecting with Ha Huy Tap road at Phu bridge (Thanh Sen ward).
The project was previously invested by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh City (old), and was also the agency implementing site clearance. The Project Management Board for Construction Investment and Land Fund Development of Ha Tinh City (old) represented the investor to directly manage the project.
After removing the district level, the project is currently invested by the Ha Tinh Provincial Traffic Construction and Urban Development Investment Project Management Board.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Danh Phong - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Transport Works and Urban Development of Ha Tinh province said that the eastern ring road project of Ha Tinh city (old) is still facing site clearance issues for some households in Tran Phu and Thanh Sen wards.
Site clearance work is still being carried out by the investor in coordination with relevant localities with the goal of completion in May 2026.
According to Mr. Phong, this project started in 2022. Previously, the project was assigned to be completed by the end of 2025, but due to many difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, it has now been extended to 2027.
The eastern ring road project of Ha Tinh city (old) under construction passes through Tran Phu and Thanh Sen wards with 166 affected households, agricultural land must be recovered, 144 households affected with residential land. Accordingly, 3 resettlement areas must be built including: Gieng Dong, Dong Cam, Doi Nep.
The eastern ring road project of Ha Tinh city (old) aims to expand urban space, effectively exploit land funds in suburban areas and create motivation for socio-economic development.
