Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan has just signed and issued Plan No. 54/KH-UBND to launch the emulation movement "80 days and nights of site clearance, 256 days and nights to complete projects related to Gia Binh International Airport and 468 days and nights to complete the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi - the section passing through Bac Ninh province".
The plan aims to promote the strength of the entire political system, agencies, units, localities, collectives, individuals, and households in site clearance, competing to complete the goal of putting Gia Binh International Airport and connecting routes into operation in 2026.
At the same time, enhance the role and responsibility of all levels and sectors, especially heads of Party committees, authorities, investors and contractors; strengthen propaganda to create consensus among the people, speed up progress and promptly reward and replicate typical examples.
Previously, on August 19, the Ministry of Public Security held a groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build Gia Binh International Airport (Gia Binh International Airport).
Gia Binh International Airport is planned on an area of nearly 1,960 hectares, located in the communes of Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang, Lam Thao, Bac Ninh province.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Construction, this is a national key project, reaching the level of an airport 4E, capable of receiving the most modern aircraft.
The goal is that by 2030, the airport will have a capacity of 30 million passengers/year and 1.6 million tons of cargo/year.
By 2050, the capacity will increase to 50 million passengers/year and 2.5 million tons of goods/year.
