After the inauguration ceremony of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project on the morning of October 17, many Lao Cai residents expressed their excitement and hoped that this national key project would open up new development opportunities for the locality and the Northwest region.
The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project was completed after more than 6 months of construction, nearly 8 months ahead of schedule, with a length of nearly 230km, passing through the two provinces of Lao Cai and Phu Tho.



This is an important power transmission line, capable of bringing about 3,000 MW of electricity from hydropower plants in the Northwest region to the national grid, contributing to ensuring energy security and stable operation of the power system.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (Xuan Quang commune) shared that local people are very happy when the project is completed early, contributing to promoting the country's economic development when ensuring energy security:
"The more the country develops, the more the demand for electricity increases, especially for industrial activities. Now that there is a 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen line, we believe that life will improve, businesses will invest more, leading to remarkable development of the country's economy," Mr. Nguyen Van Hung excitedly said.




Lao Cai people expect that the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project not only brings strong energy connecting regions, but also lights up the belief in a sustainable development future, where "electricity reaches wherever it is, the economy reaches there".
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee emphasized: From the success in implementing the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project, Lao Cai province has drawn 3 great lessons, which can be applied in the coming time, first of all the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong High-Speed Railway Project.


According to Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, first, there must be the participation of the entire political system, Party committees and authorities at all levels, second, there must be clear assignment of people, work, responsibilities, time, and results, third, there must be maintained a coordination mechanism between relevant parties in directing, inspecting, supervising, regularly grasping information, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles right from the grassroots to create high consensus among the people.

The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province is committed to continuing to accompany and closely coordinate with the Government and the Prime Minister, creating the most favorable conditions, making efforts and high determination in implementing key national projects in the area.
