The persistent rain, lasting from morning to night, caused Hanoi to be deeply flooded, causing chaos in traffic. Many roads have turned into rivers, people wade through the water and tried to move, especially during rush hour, making the distance to people's homes even more difficult and longer.
The company is 12km from his house in Tay Mo ward, Mr. Huy Hung just took his motorbike out of the company door (Duy Tan street, Cau Giay ward, Hanoi city), after a few meters, he could not continue moving when the water was deep, 2/3 of the motorbikes were flooded. After a while of struggling, Mr. Hung decided to park his motorbike at the company and walk home.
"The rain from morning caused the roads to be deeply flooded, I could not travel by motorbike through Duy Tan Street, and took another section to Pham Van Bach Street, which was also flooded. riding a motorbike will be very difficult, if the motorbike stalls in the middle of the road, it will take more effort to take the motorbike to repair. I decided to walk home. I go from 6pm, and can only go home at 8pm" - Mr. Hung said.

Like Mr. Hung, many people have also decided to walk home when traveling by motorbike or car is too difficult, and catching a technology car to go home seems impossible.
Leaving the office on Duong Dinh Nghe Street at 5pm, Ms. Huong Giang waited for more than an hour but could not catch the bus home to An Khanh, so she decided to walk.
The surrounding streets such as Me Tri, Pham Hung, Le Quang Dao... were all deeply flooded, traffic was chaotic, many people stood on the roadside, drove their vehicles to stall to find a place to repair them, many people also chose to walk home.
"After more than an hour of walking, I also returned home feeling so wet and tired that I didn't want to eat or drink. I have experienced flooding and traffic jams many times, but I have never seen such a hard time as this one," said Ms. Giang.
Many people have difficulty getting home during rush hour today. Although he does not have to walk like Mr. Hung, Mr. Anh Tuan in Tay Mo ward moves from 4:30 pm, after trying to get through the long distance, at 6 pm he get closer to his house.
"When passing through Thang Long Avenue, the area near the headquarters of the Vietnam Coast Guard, although there were only a few hundred meters away from the car parking space, because the water was too deep, I was afraid the car would stall, so I had to go up to Quoc Oai, then find a way to turn around," said Mr. Tuan.
