Nearly 4 billion VND in traffic violation fines during peak month in Cao Bang

Cao Bang - The provincial police have just announced the results after nearly a month of ensuring traffic safety during the Lunar New Year.

Accordingly, after nearly a month of deployment, the traffic force of Cao Bang province has arranged 535 shifts with 2,225 officers and soldiers to patrol and control.

As a result, 2,337 violations were recorded, a total fine of nearly 4 billion VND was collected; 137 driving licenses were revoked, and 850 vehicles were temporarily detained.

The main violations include: 289 cases of drivers violating alcohol concentration, 3 cases of using drugs while participating in traffic, 356 cases of exceeding the prescribed speed, 17 cases of violations of oversize, overload, and vehicle extension.

In the coming time, the traffic police force will continue to increase patrols, control and strictly handle violations such as: driving underage, driving with alcohol or drugs in the body, exceeding the speed limit, overloading, and exceeding the prescribed number of people.
