On July 31, news from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province said that from the end of June 2025 to now, there have been 5 outbreaks of African swine fever in the province.
The areas with outbreaks include: Hao Duc village (An Nhon Dong ward), Tu Cung village (Tuy Phuoc Dong commune), An Dien Bac village (Cuu An commune), Duc Hung village ( Ia Nan commune) and Canh An 2 village (Tuy Phuoc Tay commune).
The outbreaks are all updated and reported promptly and fully on the Vietnam Animal Epidemic Information System (Vahis.vn).
The total number of pigs infected and destroyed was 301 pigs, with a total weight of 23,746 kg; of which 290 were pigs and dairy pigs, 11 were breeding pigs.
Currently, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment) continues to monitor the situation of African swine fever in the province.
The relevant agencies have distributed 2,340 liters of disinfectants to 18 communes and wards and established 4 inter-sectoral animal disease control posts, contributing to strengthening epidemic prevention and control in key areas.
