Many socio-economic development goals
In 2025, Gia Lai sets important goals in socio-economic development and improving people's lives.
In particular, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province strives to increase the industrial production index by 4.8% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue are expected to reach 66,500 billion VND. Export turnover is estimated at 850 million USD, import is about 120 million USD.
With the potential of rich land resources and raw material areas, Gia Lai expects that exporting agricultural products such as coffee, passion fruit, durian, pepper, bananas... will bring high profits, contributing to creating stable jobs for local workers.
Besides agricultural products, Gia Lai also has a great advantage in eco-tourism thanks to the largest natural forest area in the Central Highlands. Notable destinations such as Chu Dang Ya volcano, K50 waterfall, Kon Ha Nung biosphere reserve, Kon Ka Kinh nature reserve… promise to attract tourists.

Gia Lai also aims to attract tourists to explore and experience mountain and forest tourism, nature... In 2024, Gia Lai will welcome 1.34 million visitors (an increase of 11.7% compared to 2023). In 2025, Gia Lai aims to welcome 1.7 million visitors with a revenue of 950 billion VND.
The Ministry of Transport's approval of the Pleiku Airport Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, is also an advantage for Gia Lai to develop tourism and attract investors.
Pleiku Airport was approved by the Ministry of Transport for planning as a 4C airport (according to the standard code of the International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO) and a level II military airport, with a capacity of about 4 million passengers and 4,500 tons of cargo/year.
In 2025, the upgraded Pleiku airport will open many new flight routes, increasing the frequency of operations. Therefore, the exploitation of new tours and tourist routes will be more convenient when no longer dependent on neighboring airports.

Connect and share with businesses
At the recent meeting of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung affirmed that in the coming time, the province will resolutely handle individuals and organizations that avoid responsibility, cause difficulties, and harass investors.
The province advocates building an open and friendly relationship with the business community. Currently, investors are surveying, interested in, and seeking investment opportunities in 77 projects in the province.
Gia Lai province's departments will also have to cut unnecessary administrative procedures to create and serve people and businesses effectively.
In 2025, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also directed to focus on removing difficulties for projects that are driving forces for the province's development such as the Nguyen Van Linh road project, the Gia Lai eastern corridor road project connecting Dak Doa, Pleiku and Chu Pah districts...
These completed transport projects will create regional connectivity, facilitating investors to come and learn about and develop locally...
