According to information from the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of Ha Nam province, the water level on the Day River in Phu Ly measured at 2:00 p.m. on September 23, 2024 was 4.12m, 0.12m above alert level III (based on Decision No. 05/2020/QD-TTg dated October 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister, the alert level III on the Day River at Phu Ly hydrological station is 4.00m).
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Nam province informed that the impact of floods on the Day River caused flooding in low-lying areas, affecting waterway traffic activities, aquaculture projects on the river, and agricultural production along the Day River.
The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Nam province issued a warning message III on the Day River. The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Kim Bang, Thanh Liem districts and Phu Ly city are requested to implement the following contents:
Strengthen patrolling and guarding to protect dikes in accordance with the guidance in Circular No. 01/2009 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding patrolling and guarding to protect dikes during flood season. Strictly implement the directive documents of the Provincial People's Committee.
Organize inspection, review and be ready to deploy dike protection plans, protect key dike points and sluices under the dike.
Proactively implement plans to evacuate people living in riverbank areas, ensuring safety of people and property.
Organize a serious on-duty team, closely monitor the developments of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour, promptly inform and report to the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Ha Nam province.
