Mr. Duong Tat Thang - Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee inspected the response to storm No. 5 in the communes of Thach Ha, Viet Xuyen, Loc Ha, Toan Luu, Thach Xuan, Dong Kinh, Mai Phu and Hong Loc.
Through the inspection, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested local Party committees, authorities and people of all walks of life to closely monitor weather developments and immediately deploy measures to be proactive, especially on-site plan 4 to respond and minimize damage caused by storm No. 5.
Units and localities urgently call on ships to come ashore to avoid storms; strictly manage the departure of ships and boats; instruct anchorage of ships and boats at wharves and river mouth areas to ensure safety; proactively plan to ensure the safety of natural disaster prevention works and works under construction.

Proactively prune tree branches, tie, reinforce signs, houses, public works, industrial parks, factories, and warehouses.
Review areas that are frequently flooded and areas at risk of flash floods and landslides, assign staff to specifically monitor areas at high risk of natural disasters, proactively deploy response plans, including plans to evacuate people, to ensure the safety of people's lives.

After inspecting the situation at the fishing port area and the Cua So storm shelter area, Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, requested the forces of the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command and units to proactively deploy storm prevention work No. 5 with the motto "urgent, serious, do not be passive and be surprised".
In particular, urgently review all forces and vehicles in all directions and areas, especially key areas where storms are likely to make direct landfall to be ready to effectively handle situations.
For the Border Guard force, it is necessary to increase their on-duty, actively propagate, call on vessels and boats, and guide them to anchor and avoid storms in a timely and safe manner.
Mr. Le Ngoc Huan - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh inspected the Ho Ho Hydropower Plant and a number of communes in the old Huong Khe district.
Through inspection and work with localities, Mr. Le Ngoc Huan affirmed that storm No. 5 was identified as a strong storm with a large impact level, so local authorities need to focus on prevention work; continue to promote propaganda work so that people can promptly grasp it.
During the day, people in some localities in Ha Tinh, together with the police, military and border guards, pulled boats up high, pruning trees and reinforcing houses to prevent storms.
Hundreds of ships have also anchored to avoid the storm. Proactive measures to prevent storm No. 5 continue to be vigorously implemented.
