Multi-billion VND inter-regional road connecting Phu Tho - Lao Cai
The inter-regional traffic road project connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province (now Lao Cai province) is one of the key traffic projects of Phu Tho province, started at the end of 2021 to date.
The project has a total investment of up to 2,120 billion VND invested by the Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board. Since 2024, more than 50km of the main route has been handed over and put into operation.
To date, the additional section of more than 2km at the beginning of the main route (Km0 - Km2+452) through Van Xuan commune has also been completed. Vehicles can easily travel.
According to a representative of the Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board, the above-mentioned route section is currently in the process of completing procedures for handover and putting into operation.
For the extended inter-regional road section (more than 3.7km) connecting Km0 of the inter-regional road with National Highway 32 in Tam Nong commune, the Ho Chi Minh road overpass and many other items have been completed. The contractor is currently completing the asphalt paving of the road surface.
With a branch line of more than 3km connecting the main inter-regional road with Cam Khe industrial park, the asphalt paving of the road surface, the traffic safety system section from Km0 - Km2+300 and the Dong Men bridge item have been basically completed.
The construction sites of the above-mentioned 3 sections of the inter-regional road project are maintaining an urgent and continuous pace of work.
The goal is to complete it all before June 30, 2026.
Nearly 700 billion VND project to build road connecting two key expressways
Another traffic infrastructure project is also racing against time. That is the project to invest in connecting the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway. The project plays an important role in helping to close the expressway network.
The above project has a total investment of more than 692 billion VND, construction starts from mid-February 2025. The project to build the road has a total length of more than 2.7km, connecting the IC9 intersection of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and the ending point of the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway. The rest is the service road system.
According to the report of the Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board (the project investor), up to now, construction deployment has reached over 85% of the volume, with many important items completed.
Specifically, the entire length of the main route has been asphalted; the overpass item at the provincial road intersection 315B (connecting directly to the end point of the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway) has been completed.
The contractor has constructed 5/5 underpasses, 10/10 box culverts, 14/14 round culverts, 100% precast components, 100% retaining walls...
Items such as: IC9 intersection branch line, service road, restored road... are in the process of completion; traffic safety and smart traffic systems are also being installed.
The goal is to complete construction before June 30, 2026.
