Leaders of Khanh Binh Tay commune also visited, shared, and encouraged the families, supporting each family with 5 million VND for total damage, and 3 million VND for families with partial damage, for a total of 21 million VND.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Hanh - Chairman of Khanh Binh Tay Commune People's Committee - said that the fire started at a self-service grocery store, then spread to neighboring households at nearly 12:00 on October 6 at Da Bac market area, Da Bac hamlet, Khanh Binh Tay commune.

After receiving the information, the Commune People's Committee mobilized police, military, militia and self-defense forces, forces stationed in the area and mobilized fire-fighting equipment and support from professional fire-fighting forces of Ca Mau Provincial Police, Tran Van Thoi District Police, and armed forces to help put out the fire.

After more than 2 hours, the fire was completely controlled. The fire did not cause any human casualties, but it damaged 5 houses of business households, of which 3 were completely burned down, 2 were partially burned, with total estimated damage of more than 2 billion VND.

The initial cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit. Authorities are currently collecting information and investigating to determine the specific cause.
