At around 2:40 a.m. on October 6, at the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang - Ngo Quyen Street, Ward 1, Ca Mau City, a traffic accident occurred between a truck and a motorbike, seriously injuring two people on the motorbike.
A car with license plate 69C-083.10 carrying pork collided with a motorbike with license plate 69AA-08945. The accident seriously injured two people on the motorbike and they were taken to the emergency room by local people.
The truck overturned and came to rest on the sidewalk of Ngo Quyen Street. The truck driver and the passenger only suffered minor injuries. The motorbike and truck were badly damaged, and the pork on the truck was scattered on the road.
Immediately after the accident, authorities were present at the scene to verify the incident and regulate traffic in the area.
Earlier, at around 1:50 a.m., a concrete mixer truck overturned on Highway 63, in Hamlet 3, Tan Xuyen Ward, Ca Mau City, causing traffic congestion on this route for several hours. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties.
According to initial information, at the above time, a concrete mixer truck with license plate 84C-070.79 of Khanh An Concrete and Construction Materials Company lost control and overturned, blocking National Highway 63, making it impossible for vehicles on this route, including motorbikes and scooters, to move.
Immediately after the incident, the task force was present at the scene to conduct rescue; however, due to the large size of the concrete mixer truck and the incident occurring late at night, the rescue work was very difficult. By 10:00 a.m., Highway 63 was cleared.
