Emergency support of 130 tons of Khang Dan rice seeds from national reserves for Quang Tri

130 tons of 18- grain Khang Dan rice seeds from national reserves were urgently supported for Quang Tri province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 1.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Hoang Trung has just signed a decision on exporting crop seeds from national reserves to support Quang Tri province in overcoming the damage caused by natural disasters.

Accordingly, Thua Thien Hue Crop - Breeding Joint Stock Company issued (without payment) 130 tons of Khang Dan 18 rice seeds of whole grains from the national reserve to Quang Tri province to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 1.

The issuance and delivery of rice seeds from national reserves is carried out in accordance with current regulations.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province directs the reception, management and use of the quantity and types of rice seeds supported according to current regulations.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province is fully responsible for the number of reports on natural disaster disaster disaster damage and the management and use of national reserve resources received.

According to the reports of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue City, Da Nang City, Quang Nam provinces/cities, the total damage caused by storm No. 1 and floods as of 20:30 on June 16, 2025 is as follows:

- Regarding people: 7 dead (Quang Binh 4, Quang Tri 3) and 1 injured (Quang Tri).

- Regarding housing: 5 houses collapsed (Quang Nam); 94 houses were damaged, roofs were blown off (Ha Tinh 27, Hue City 61, Quang Nam 1, Quang Tri 5).

- Regarding agriculture: There are 33,959 hectares of flooded rice and crops (Hue City 13,731 hectares; Quang Binh 4,705 hectares; Quang Tri 15,523 hectares).

- Regarding seafood: 2,341 hectares of aquaculture were damaged by flooding and drift (Quang Binh 1,636ha, Quang Tri 623ha, Da Nang City 33ha, Quang Nam 49ha); 324 cages were damaged (Quang Binh 265, Quang Tri 59).

- Regarding boats: 8 boats sank, damaged (Quang Binh 3, Da Nang 5).
