In July, Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery welcomed more than 19 thousand visitors from 683 delegations to offer incense and flowers.
The delegations visiting included a large number of delegates from Party and State agencies, armed forces, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, businesses, relatives of martyrs and people from many provinces and cities across the country.
In which, the force of veterans accounted for the largest number with 298 delegations, nearly 8,500 people; followed by delegations of Party and State agencies with 143 delegations, nearly 4,200 people.
Also at the end of July, Tuyen Quang province organized a ceremony to pay respects, commemorate and bury 34 sets of remains of martyrs who were gathered for burial at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery.
To date, the cemetery is the resting place of 1,988 Heroic Martyrs and 6 collective graves, of which 465 graves have not yet been identified.
Most of the martyrs resting here bravely sacrificed in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland.
