In order to develop trade and services and create more cultural and entertainment space for people, Pho Hien ward is studying the construction of a walking street in the Nam Hoa park area.
To ensure the street is designed in a civilized and practical direction, the ward has publicly informed and collected public opinions on the location of the organization, operating time frame, types of services needed, and solutions for security, order and environmental sanitation.
After receiving the opinion, Pho Hien ward is implementing the construction of a street coordinate, aiming to form a friendly space, promote the local image and enhance community cohesion.
During the commentation process, many people expressed their interest. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep ( Bai Say Street) said that it is necessary to clearly define the criteria of a walking street to suit the current urban status: "Who does this space serve? If only wrapped in a park, it would be a bit cramped.
He proposed to study more plans to expand to wider streets such as Quang Truong Street to both create a space for entertainment and connect cultural sites in the ward.

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Van (Trung Trac Street) mentioned the situation of An Vu Park being abandoned for many years, causing environmental pollution and suggested that the ward completely renovate this area before implementing the walking street model, avoiding following the movement.
From a positive perspective, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai (Ba Trieu Street) believes that community service projects are always necessary: "If the streets are beautiful, people will have more places to play and more jobs". In addition, Mr. Hai also noted that accompanying infrastructure such as parking lots, public toilets, garbage collection points, etc. must be carefully calculated to make the walking street operate stably and long-term.
Pho Hien Ward is continuing to synthesize opinions to complete the plan, submitting it to the competent authority for consideration.
