HCMC - On the evening of September 22, the Traffic Police Department of HCMC Police announced an alternative direction of traffic when the Saigon River tunnel was banned.

The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that in order to ensure traffic order and safety for the organization of a drill on a plan to handle fire fighting and rescue situations in the Saigon River tunnel from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on September 23, 24 and 26.

To avoid the route to the Saigon River tunnel during the above time, people participating in traffic can travel according to the following alternative routes:

Traffic route from Saigon ward to An Khanh ward:

Route 1: Vo Van Kiet - parallel Vo Van Kiet - Vo Van Kiet - Ton Duc Thang - Ba Son bridge - Road R12 - To Huu - Mai Chi Tho.

Route 2: Vo Van Kiet - Nguyen Thai Hoc - Tran Hung Dao - Ham Nghi - Ho Tung Mau - Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Huu Canh - Thu Thiem Bridge - Nguyen Co Thach - Mai Chi Tho.

Traffic route from An Khanh ward to Saigon ward:

Route 1: Mai Chi Tho - To Huu - R12 Road - Ba Son Bridge - Le Duan - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Vo Van Kiet.

Route 2: Mai Chi Tho - Nguyen Co Thach - Thu Thiem Bridge - Nguyen Huu Canh - Ton Duc Thang - Vo Van Kiet.

The Traffic Police Department further noted that drivers of vehicles traveling through the area where this program is held need to reduce speed and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police force, forces participating in ensuring traffic order and safety or traffic signaling systems on the road.

Based on the actual traffic situation, the Traffic Police Department will organize forces to adjust traffic flow appropriately, minimizing the impact on the daily lives of people traveling through the organized area and this route.
