On June 17, the People's Committee of Can Tho City issued a Decision approving the task of renovating and repairing the offices of units and localities.

Accordingly, the Decision approves the task of renovating and repairing the working headquarters of units and localities to promptly serve the operations of units and localities after the merger.
The implementation funding source is balanced by the unit and locality in the budget assigned for implementation in the year; in case the unit or locality has financial difficulties, urgently report and explain specifically, send to the Department of Finance for synthesis, report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
Heads of agencies, units and localities shall urgently organize the renovation and repair of working headquarters in the spirit of efficiency, economy and in accordance with legal regulations.
The agencies of districts, towns, wards and cities have headquarters to arrange for the agencies of communes and wards after the merger to act as working headquarters, and the district, commune and ward organize the renovation and repair of the working headquarters.
The headquarters of major repair agencies at the provincial and commune levels are allocated from public investment capital and assigned to the specialized Project Management Board for implementation.

The Director of the Department of Finance is responsible for advising on additional funding for units facing difficulties in funding for the renovation and repair of offices in accordance with regulations; responsible for legal basis, information and data, and proposal for approval of tasks.
The Chief of Office of the City People's Committee, Director of the Department of Finance, Heads of the City's Departments and branches, Chairmen of District People's Committees, Chairmen of Commune, Ward and Town People's Committees and related units are responsible for implementing the Decision from the date of signing.
