On October 1, information from the People's Committee of Truong Vinh Ward said that the authorities are focusing on handling serious cracks and landslides at the Vinh River dike, near the Cau Den Pumping Station.
Accordingly, on the same morning, people discovered that the Vinh River dike surface had cracks and prolonged landslides, with the risk of broken dike if not reinforced in time.
Immediately after receiving the news, the authorities promptly mobilized vehicles, human resources, and specialized equipment to reinforce and overcome the situation.
Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien, representatives of departments, branches and leaders of Truong Vinh ward were present at the scene, directly directing the rescue work.
The two ends of the incident site have been blocked to ensure safety, and handling work is being urgently deployed.
After storm No. 10, the Vinh River (also known as the Con Moc River) rose, causing flooding for many households in Truong Vinh ward.
Functional forces have been mobilized to support people in evacuating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, while focusing on protecting this important dike.
