Lac Son brings the law closer to the people by dramatization

Hoa Binh - The form of legal propaganda through skits and art is becoming a "spiritual dish" enthusiastically welcomed by the Muong people in Lac Son district.

In Lac Son district (Hoa Binh), legal dissemination sessions are no longer dry and unforgettable. Instead, the staged skits, associated with daily life, have helped people understand the law, remember the law and voluntarily follow the law - naturally and convincingly.

Ms. Bui Thi Huong, a resident of Van Son commune, emotionally said: "Seeing the skits, I understand it right away, I remember it for a long time. The Muong people are used to hearing stories, now the law also tells stories, so it is easier to hear and understand much more easily". She smiled gently: "Remembering the days when I was eager to go see the whole village's football, now I see how good the law is."

Not only Van Son, in An Nghia commune, on an evening in early June, the yard of the cultural house was packed with people. A skits recreating the scene of a mother forcing her daughter to get married early, leaving many consequences that silenced viewers. Interspersed with performances by the people themselves. After the show, many people stopped to ask the staff about the content they had just seen. The law has become a story for discussion and sharing.

Since the beginning of the year, the district has organized nearly 20 stage production sessions in communes such as An Nghia, Tu Do, Van Son, Nhan Nghia... The content revolves around issues of concern to the people such as early marriage, domestic violence, debt, land disputes, traffic safety, drug abuse... The main actors participating in the performance are union officials, organizations and local people. The lines are rustic, familiar but correct, easy to understand, easy to remember, easy to follow.

Mr. Bui Van Luan - Vice Chairman of An Nghia Commune People's Committee said: "Such an organization does not need to be invited, people also go to see it in large numbers. There was a closed session in the entire cultural house yard. The most important thing is that after watching, people understand the law better, change their way of thinking and doing things. Like the story of early marriage, before we thought it was a custom, now we know it is a violation of the law".

Ms. Bui Thi Ha - Head of the Lac Son District Judicial Department said: "Propaganda on the law is already lacking. With the direction, the rules become more lively and closer. The skits reflect reality, so people accept them very naturally and enthusiastically".

However, Ms. Ha also frankly acknowledged: the work of legal propaganda in some remote communes is still difficult. Maintaining the work is not uniform, the propaganda team lacks skills, and is not close to the needs of ethnic minorities.

However, it is the small stages in the village that are making a big change. The law is no longer a distant thing, but has become a part of daily life. Each skits and lines are contributing to the formation of awareness of living and working according to the law in the Muong community.

In Lac Son, the law is not only studied through books or resolutions, but is also felt with the heart. That is the way of "near the people - close to the people" to help spread the spirit of the rule of law in a sustainable and profound way - from small stages to big changes in each roof, each hamlet.
