On August 27, Lam Dong provincial leaders inspected the progress of renovation and repair of public housing areas for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers transferred to work at the provincial Administrative Center.
According to the plan, Lam Dong province will arrange 34 public housing facilities with a total area of nearly 30,000 m2. The report of the Department of Finance said that as of August 20, there were 1,296 people in need of housing arrangement.
Of which, the first phase has been arranged for 287 people, the second phase for 931 people. Up to now, the locality has ensured accommodation for 1,218 people. The number of people who have registered for unresidential accommodation is 78. Currently, 15/34 public housing units have been renovated and repaired.

After inspecting the works, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh requested the units to speed up the progress, ensure quality and construction safety, so that the works can be completed on schedule.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, public housing is an important facility that helps stabilize life and create favorable working conditions for officials and civil servants when they are transferred to the provincial center. At the same time, it contributes to strengthening the organization and personnel of State agencies after the arrangement of the provincial-level administrative apparatus.

The Provincial Party Committee leaders also emphasized that, depending on actual conditions, the renovation needs to be associated with upgrading living facilities, striving for each room to have its own toilet and ventilation system. Houses must be arranged with gates and fences to ensure security, and have suitable parking lots for motorbikes and cars.
It is necessary to arrange a common living area in the campus, ensure fire prevention and fighting conditions and improve the landscape, and plant more trees.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee assigned units to continue reviewing each room and apartment to allocate appropriately to cadres and civil servants who have registered for public housing needs. At the same time, study the management and operation plan, issue internal living regulations for each public housing area. The province will also continue to review some more locations to continue renovating them into public housing in the coming time.
