In the past 6 months, with the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time", the three provinces (Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan) have organized the implementation and implementation of Resolutions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government on the arrangement and organization of the 2-level local government apparatus, merging 3 provinces into the new Lam Dong province.
Up to now, the Central Resolutions on the organization of Lam Dong province's apparatus and the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Lam Dong province in 2025 have been announced.
The organizational apparatus of local governments at both levels of Lam Dong province officially came into operation from July 1 to ensure continuity, effective and efficient operation.
In addition, with high determination and great efforts from Party committees at all levels, authorities and the entire political system from the provincial to the grassroots level have focused on leading and directing strongly to promote production and business development.
In the past 6 months, the socio-economic situation, security and defense of the province have achieved many positive and outstanding progress.
For the economy, in the past 6 months, the GRDP growth rate reached 5.97% over the same period. Of which, the service sector grew strongly by 7.83%.
Total state budget revenue reached VND 16,862 billion, up 19.66% over the same period. Export turnover reached 1,572.2 million USD, up 28.31% over the same period.
Tourists to Lam Dong reached 12.163 million, reaching 54.21% of the plan, up 20.26% over the same period (international tourists increased sharply by 56.09%).
During this time, the locality also implemented many key transport projects such as approving 2 expressway projects: Bao Loc - Lien Khuong and Tan Phu - Bao Loc in the second quarter of 2025.
In particular, the groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway section on June 29, 2025 was held as part of a series of activities to celebrate the establishment of the new Lam Dong province.
The locality started construction of Component Project 2 of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project in the West (Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section) on April 28, 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification.
Lam Dong has completed 2 strategic traffic projects to connect with the North-South expressway axis in the East and complete the national coastal route to the South of the old city of Phan Thiet.
