The project to renovate, repair and overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 on Nam Tong - Nam Luc commune road, Nam Kha 2 road, Co Tong road, Ban Vang was approved by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee under Decision No. 1240/QD-UBND dated April 22, 2025.
The above project belongs to Group B, with a total investment of 216 billion VND, the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is the project investor.
According to the reporter's investigation, Package No. 14: Construction of the section Km11+200 - Km19+00 (including traffic assurance costs) of the project has recently completed the contractor selection work.
The investor's approval decision shows that Hoang Nguyen Construction Investment One Member Co., Ltd. was the winning bidder for Package No. 14 with a price of more than 79.9 billion VND (estimated price of nearly 80.1 billion VND).
According to the project documents that the reporter exploited the National Bidding Network System, the above contractor will construct Package No. 14 (section Km11+200 - Km19+0000) in Coc Lau commune, Xuan Hoa commune, Lao Cai province.
The package will construct 2 main items: Nam Tong road and bridge.
For road items, the minimum roadbed width is 6.5m; road surface width is 6.5m (including the side reinforcement such as road surface structure), the sections of vertical ditches that are not reinforced are designed to expand the land edge to a minimum width of 0.5m.
The road will be designed at the same level, traffic will be organized at the intersections with painted lines, signs, edges, and speed boxes. The connection is safe and smooth, suitable for the existing road.
A vertical drainage system, cross-drainage and slope drainage will be built on the road.
Along with that are protective works: negative slope retaining walls; Positive slope stone cages; Arrangement of slope roofs with boulders; Traffic safety system, road markers.
For the Nam Tong bridge item, a new one will be built at Km12+836.72, replacing the old box culvert that does not ensure drainage capacity.
Nam Tong Bridge will be built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, with a bridge length of 34.1m, a global width of 9m, and a vehicle width of 8m...
The completion period of Package No. 14 is 540 days.
As part of the project, Package No. 15: Construction of the section Km19+00 - Km29+00 (including traffic assurance costs) with a price of more than 87.6 billion VND is also in the process of selecting a contractor.
The project is invested to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and road traffic infrastructure incidents caused by storms, especially the storm No. 3 Yagi (2024), ensuring smooth traffic on the route, traffic safety, gradually completing the traffic infrastructure according to the plan, serving the goal of socio-economic development.
