The Lao Cai Provincial Conference Center project in Dong Tam ward, Lao Cai province with a total land area of about 2.6 hectares is located in the Km5 area, on the land area of the old Conference Center and Sports Training and Competition Center Gymnasium.
The project started on December 26, 2023, with the Yen Bai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board as the investor (now the Lao Cai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1). The project has a scale of 4 floors, a construction area of about 2,500m2, a total floor area of about 10,000m2, and is expected to be a modern architectural highlight of the Northwest region.
At the inspection on September 3, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and the working group inspected the items in the completion stage of the project such as: a large hall with 1,024 seats, functional meeting rooms, main hall, outdoor landscape area...
According to the report, up to now, the project is in the final stage of construction, the main house construction package and auxiliary items implemented by the conglomerate of LANMAK - SON TAI - TRUE MORI VN have reached 94.17% of the contract value.
The main house item has completed 100% of the structure and is urgently completing the architecture and exterior landscape. The equipment procurement and installation package implemented by the VIETLIGHT consortium has reached 95% of the contract value.
The interior equipment package implemented by Landco Joint Stock Company has reached 90% of the contract value.
The contractors are all committed to completing all construction items before September 15, 2025.
To ensure the project reaches the finish line on time, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested contractors to continue to focus on maximum human and material resources, organize overtime, add teams, and construct continuously to further speed up the completion of the remaining items.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan emphasized that although racing against time, absolutely must not be negligent, subjective, factors such as labor safety and fire prevention and fighting must be given top priority.
Units must regularly review and tighten safety procedures at the construction site; carefully inspect the entire automatic fire prevention and fighting system, smoke absorption increase system, ensuring safe and effective trial operation before handover.
In addition, leaders of units and contractors must pay special attention to life, health, salary and bonus regimes and promptly encourage the team of cadres and workers working day and night, ensuring the regeneration of labor force to excellently complete the task.
