The National Achievements Exhibition (Exhibition) with the theme "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness" takes place from August 28 to September 5, at the National Exhibition Center (Hanoi).
The Ministry of National Defense will preside over the organization of an exhibition space with the theme "Creating development" in the indoor area with an area of over 700 m2 and an outdoor space with the theme "Youth and shield".

Among the crowded crowds at the exhibition area, the faces that were darkened by the sun and wind, the gray hair, slow footsteps but the bright eyes, reminiscent of the glorious times of the veterans.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thai (78 years old) - a veteran of Quang Tri - standing in front of a black and white photo of the army crossing the Thach Han River in 1972, choked up.
Mr. Thai shared: "More than half a century has passed, but the memories are still fresh. I see my teammates in every frame, in every steadfast look. Many of them have not returned."
He also expressed his wish that the younger generation would preserve and continue to promote the traditions of their ancestors.

All the exhibition booths, from weapons and military equipment, to golden handwritten letters, have become a bridge connecting the past with the present. The veterans went and showed their children, students, and pupils about each relic, each battle, and each milestone in the nation's history.
When asked about his feelings when visiting the exhibition, veteran Nguyen Van Yen (Hoang Liet, Hanoi) - who participated in the Vietnamese volunteer army in Cambodia - choked up and said: "I am very happy! ".

Mr. Yen said: "Our most favorite thing is that today's young people know how to promote their father's traditions, cherish the blood of many generations that have fallen down, to preserve the foundation of independence and build a rich and strong Fatherland".
Many visitors could not hide their tears when listening to the veterans tell the story of the letters sent in a hurry at the battlefield, the souvenirs sent before the battle.
In addition to the outdoor exhibition space, the Ministry of National Defense's indoor exhibition booth with 334 products includes historical items, copies, restorations, images, weapons and equipment; logistics - technical products such as military uniforms, special forces salary, transport ships, materials, military medical equipment, etc.
