On April 23, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that it had issued a decision approving the results of dismissal from the position of Chairman of the Commune People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term for Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh.
The decision was signed on April 21 and takes effect from the date of signing. Relevant agencies, units and Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh personally are responsible for implementation according to regulations.
According to information from leaders of the Office of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the approval of dismissal was carried out based on the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs and the People's Council of Bich Hao commune.
Previously, on April 18, Bich Hao Commune People's Council held a meeting, approving the content of dismissal from the position of Chairman of the Commune People's Committee for Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh. After that, the Commune People's Council completed the submission, requesting the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to consider and decide according to his authority.
Regarding management work, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh stopped performing his duties from April 17.
According to research, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh's resignation letter due to health reasons has been considered and agreed upon by the Standing Committee of the Bich Hao Commune Party Committee and agreed upon by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee before submitting it to competent authorities for decision.
Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh used to hold the position of Chairman of Thanh Xuan Commune People's Committee (old), then was transferred and arranged to hold the position of Chairman of Bich Hao Commune People's Committee.
