According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 2:00 PM on March 12, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level of 114.49 m, lower than the normal water level by 120 m.
The water flow to the reservoir is about 50 m3/s, while the total discharge volume reaches 121.95 m3/s, all through the hydropower plant.
In the Northwest region, many large lakes on the Da River system continue to operate for power generation.
Son La Lake has a water level of 214.94 m, close to the normal water level of 215 m; water flow to the lake is 998 m3/s, total discharge is 379 m3/s through the plant.
Hoa Binh Lake recorded a water level of 113.97 m, 117 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake 983 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 421 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 294.67 m, close to the normal level of 295 m; water inflow to the lake is 291 m3/s, total discharge is 186 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake reached a water level of 369.43 m, inflow to the lake 270 m3/s, total discharge volume 264 m3/s.
Ban Chat Lake recorded a water level of 445.08 m, water flow to the lake 11 m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant is 254 m3/s.
Notably, Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 54.97 m, a water inflow rate of 77 m3/s, but has not yet discharged water.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 12th, the Northern region will have light rain in some places at night, foggy in some places in the early morning, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and in the morning.
