According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the Red River basin, the water level of the Thao River at Yen Bai and Phu Tho stations is rising and is forecast to continue to increase in the coming time. At 7:00 AM on July 17, the water level in Yen Bai reached 26.12 m, forecast to rise to about 27 m on the morning of July 19; in Phu Tho reached 12.68 m, forecast to rise to about 13.15 m.
On the Lo River, the water level in Tuyen Quang and Vu Quang changed slowly due to rain and hydropower reservoir regulation. By 7:00 AM on July 17, the water level in Tuyen Quang was 15.81 m, forecast to decrease to about 15 m in the morning of July 19; in Vu Quang it reached 8.77 m, then fluctuated in the range of 8.35-8.95 m.
The flow to Hoa Binh reservoir on the Da River continues to fluctuate according to the regulation of the above-line hydropower reservoirs and the impact of rain in the basin.
In the lower reaches of the Red River, the water level of the Hanoi station at 7:00 AM on July 17 reached 3.86 m and continued to fluctuate due to hydropower regulation and the impact of tides.
On the Thai Binh river system, the water levels of the Cau, Thuong, and Luc Nam rivers continue to change slowly and are affected by tides. At the forecast time, the water level of Dap Cau station fluctuates from 1.50-2.31 m; Phu Lang Thuong station from 1.50-2.32 m; Luc Nam station from 1-2.19 m. For the Thai Binh River, the water level at Pha Lai station in the next 36 hours is forecast to be highest at 2.10 m, lowest at 1.20 m.
In the North Central region, the water level on the Ma River, Ca River, La River, Gianh River and Huong River mainly changes slowly. The water level at Giang station on the Ma River is forecast to fluctuate from -0.8 m to 2 m; Linh Cam station on the La River from -1.2 m to 1.2 m; Mai Hoa station on the Gianh River from -1.05 m to 0.83 m; Kim Long station on the Huong River about 0.42-0.49 m.
In the South Central Coast, water levels on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon, Tra Khuc, Kon rivers and downstream of the Ba River continue to be affected by reservoir regulation and tides. Water levels at Cau Lau station on the Thu Bon River fluctuate from about -0.63 m to 0.66 m; Tra Khuc station about 1.15-1.34 m; Phu Lam station on the Da Rang River about -1 m to 0.3 m.
In the Southeast region, the water level of the Dong Nai River at Ta Lai station at 7:00 am on July 17 reached 111.15 m, forecast to fluctuate around 111.10-111.20 m in the coming days. On the Be River, the water level of Phuoc Hoa station reached 19.24 m, then fluctuated in the range of 19.10-19.80 m. In the Mekong River basin, the water level of the Dak Bla River at Kon Tum station is at 515.47 m, and the Krong Ana River at Giang Son station is about 414.44 m.
In the Mekong Delta, the water level at the headwaters continues to fluctuate according to the tide. The highest water level on July 16th on the Tien River at Tan Chau reached 2.05 m, on the Hau River at Chau Doc reached 2.13 m. By July 21st, the highest water level of the day is forecast to be 1.90 m and 1.95 m respectively.
